Scholarships Programme
Scholarships at Repton Al Barsha are awarded for academic excellence, sport, creative arts and innovation. These are available in Years 5-8 as well as Year 12 (based on outstanding IGCSE results) and are tenable for a pupil’s time at Repton Al Barsha, subject to high standards of behaviour, performance and engagement. Upon the award of a scholarship, academic scholars are expected to remain hard working in their studies and demonstrate outstanding attainment. Music scholars should be prepared to support Repton Al Barsha creativity groups and sports scholars should be available to represent school teams. Innovation scholars should be integral members of the Repton Family of Schools Digital Team.
Scholarships are offered in the following four areas:
Academic: awarded to pupils with the ability and commitment to be academic leaders at Repton Al Barsha. The school is looking for outstanding pupils, who are curious, inquisitive and enjoy their studies.
Creative Arts: awarded to talented individuals who are prepared to make a strong contribution to the Creative Arts Department at Repton Al Barsha.
Sport: awarded to pupils with strong sporting credentials, who will promote sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership and fair play, and who will be ambassadors for Repton Al Barsha sports teams.
Innovation: awarded to pupils who demonstrate entrepreneurial attributes, with the ability and commitment to be digital leaders.
How to apply?
As part of the application process, parents of candidates will be invited to provide evidence of their child’s academic, creativity, sporting or innovation ability, such as representation and success in concerts or sports competitions.
All external applicants need to have completed an admissions application (available here) prior to submitting a scholarship application.
Parents of pupils who wish to apply for these awards are invited to write, in the first instance to headmistressspa@reptonalbarsha.org by completing the below application forms.
For academic scholarships all internal pupils will be automatically considered for an academic scholarship; the current top academic pupils in Year 4 and Year 5, and in Year 6 and Year 7 will be considered. External and internal data, along with contribution to lessons will be assessed.
There is no requirement for parents to request an academic scholarship as all pupils will be considered. As part of the selection process, pupils applying may be invited to visit the school for an interview or audition, to demonstrate their ability.
